Learn which OTC and prescriptions contain acetaminophen

Acetaminophen is in more than
600 OTC and prescription medications

Some patients accidentally exceed the recommended dose when taking multiple acetaminophen-containing products at the same time, often without realizing they contain acetaminophen or by not reading and following the dosing instructions. The makers of TYLENOL® have launched GET RELIEF RESPONSIBLY®, a national initiative designed to educate patients on the appropriate use of OTC and prescription medications, particularly those containing acetaminophen. Also, McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., is working with multiple stakeholders to replace "APAP" (an abbreviation most patients don't know) with the complete generic name, acetaminophen, on pharmacy-generated container labels.

To support conversations with your patients, you'll find helpful GET RELIEF RESPONSIBLY® materials plus free samples at TylenolProfessional.com. You can also refer your patients to GetReliefResponsibly.com for useful tips and tools.
